Kidney beans are high carb foods. It is also one of the top North Indian dishes. It has 23 percent of carbohydrates. A kidney bean has antioxidants like isoflavones and anthocyanins which help to prevent colon cancer; it also has minerals and vitamins that enhance and regulate blood sugar level. When cooked, kidney beans protein content increases and when it’s not properly cooked or half cooked it can be harmful to health.

Chickpeas are high carb foods. They belong to the legume family. Chickpea contains 28 percent of carbohydrates and 8 percent of fibre. Chickpea also contains minerals like phosphorus and iron, vitamins B and plant based protein. It helps to prevent heart and digestive diseases.
