Ramos hits back at Maradona
Sergio Ramos has hit back at former Argentina Legendary Striker by claiming that Leo Messi is the best player in the history of Argentina.
The Spanish defender has responded to Maradona who has earlier said that “ Real Madrid defender wasn’t that much good as the Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin”
Ramos was speaking this after an interview over the Spain 1-0 win over Iran at the world cup this Wednesdays which has made it clear that the Barcelona defender has been superior to Maradona.
“ In my opinion in Argentina Maradona is far away from the best Argentina player in the opinion which is Leo Messi, “ he said
Spain’s win moved them joint-top of Group B alongside Portugal with one game left to play in the group stage and Ramos was relaxed about their position
“ Iran went there to waste time, whereas our main focus was to get a win in the match,” he said
“We are happy that we have taken a step forward. Now our aim would be to secure a great position in the group stage”
“ I still think we can improve in all the aspects” He later added
